Monday last, an express messenger was sent by William Monsel, Esq., a magistrate in this county, to the Right Worshipful Mayor of Limerick, with an information taken before him, of a most brutal assault, &c., committed on the person of Margaret Knight, otherwise O'Brien, on her passage from Limerick by boat, to her residence in this county ...... on Thursday morning he seized John Mulcahy, the principal named in the information and lodged him in jail, from whence he will be transmitted to our jail, for trial at the ensuing assizes.

Marriage
On Saturday last, at Quin Church, by Rev. Michael Fitzgerald, Henry Vereker D'Esterre, Esq., to Marcella, eldest daughter of Edward Singleton, of Quinville, in this county, Esq.
