On Thursday last, at his seat, Newpark, to the affliction of his family and regret of his friends, Pat Mahon, Esq., for many years a Magistrate for this county.

Daniel McNamara stood indicted for arson in burning the house of James Cannane, on the lands of Sycasey, or Lyssycasey, last Feb 12 months ...........
.... Mary Cannane ....... cross examined by Mr. O'Gorman. Her husband had fled ; he was charged with some robbery ; the lands are the estate of the late Pat Mahon ; knows a man by the name of Pat Kelly ; he was Mr. Mahon's steward on the lands ; the prisoner was employed as an under-agent by Kelly ; she knew the prisoner well ; he had seized her distress previously ; there was upwards of a hundred pounds rent due of her husband to Mr. Mahon at the time ; the prisoner was living on the lands, and was a known agent of Mr. M_ ; .......... if Mr. Mahon was alive he would have assisted her in the prosecution ; before his death he sent her a token to come to town. ....
....... there was no impudation whatever against Mr. Mahon, or his family ....
