Hibernian Chronicle 18 June 1778

DIED -- Last Tuesday evening at his house in Cat Lane, in an
advanced age, Mr. Garrett Ahern, an eminent nursery and seedsman,
a sincere friend, a tender exemplarary parent and a man of the
strictest probity, most cordially regretted by a numerous
acquaintance, more particularly the poor, by whom his loss
is severely felt.
