DEATH OF A WEST CORK MAN ABROAD |
---|
We perceive by the Ontario Spectator, of Dec 21st, the death of Mr. Patrick Donovan, aged 74, a native of Castletownbere. In referring to his death, the journal says:Another of Hamilton's old and respected citizens is numbered with the dead. Mr. Patrick Donovan, father of Alderman Donovan, M.A., came to Hamilton from the county of Cork, Ireland, about the year 1846, and was, when he died 74 years of age. He was quiet and unpretending in his manner, and was respected by all who had his acquaintance. A wife and several grown daughters; as well as his son Alderman Donovan, are the near relatives by whom his death will be mourned. |
