Londonderry Journal; Tuesday, January 6, 1784

Dublin.
Died: at the Bath, John M'Mollan, one of his Majesty's Council at Law.

The brig Grace, Rob George, 140 tons, for Baltimore Feb. 10, can accommodate a few passengers; owners Peter Alexander, John Ewing, and Robert George; servants are encouraged.

Londonderry Journal; Tuesday, January 13, 1784

Married: W.M. Kirk to Miss Bateman, daughter of John Bateman.

Born: a son to the Lady of General Gledstane, of Daisy Hill, co. Tyrone.

The brig Peggy, George Stewart, 200 tons, three years old, for Newcastle and Philadelphia March 1; George Brown and William Cudbert, proprietors.

Died: at Letterkenny, Red Conyngham; at Brokhall, ___ Wray, formerly a major in His Majesty's service.

Charles and Margaret Gray, administrators of James Miller, deceased, vs. Fred. Hamilton; sheriffs to sell his right to three houses on the Gaol Wall.

Londonderry Journal; Tuesday, January 6, 1784

The Philadelphia packet, Capt. Torrens, from Belfast with 250 passengers on Aug. 25 went ashore twenty miles south of Cape Henlopen [the southern entrance to the Delaware]. All the passengers got ashore, but about seventy hired a schooner to take them to Philadelphia and it sank and all of them perished.

Two men named Baird, in the parish of Ardstraw, perished in the snow while returning from a mill. 

The skow Mary, Capt. Ross, arrived safe at Philadelphia on Nov. 16, all passengers well.

The goods and crop of the late John Witherow to be sold at Ballymagrorty for rent and arrears due Mrs. Mary Lecky. 

The ship Neptune, now in London, will leave Londonderry for Philadelphia in the spring; for passage apply to Capt. James Mitchell or his son H. Mitchell.

The ship Alexander, W. Pinkerton, 500 tons, for Newcastle and Philadelphia April 10.

The brig Mary, Sam. Hetterick, 260 tons, for Baltimore Feb. 15; Sam Curry, prop.; a few passengers can be accommodated.
