The Lanark Era DIED Sunday, April 17th, Mr. Thomas Ellis, of Pakenham died at the age of 70 years. The deceased was born in Ireland and came to this country with his parents. He taught school for some years in Packenham and subsequently married and settled there. The decease was the oldest of a family of eight: Mrs. Bain (deceased) of Packenham; John & Mrs. Owens of Grattan; Miss Annie of Dakota; Henry (deceased), the former husband of Mrs. John Deachman of Lanark Twp; William and Mrs. Owens of Dakota. He leaves a widow and a family of five. Funeral was from his residence on the Bellamy Road to the Methodist Cemetery at Packenham. The Lanark Era DIED Mr. John Gray, of Ferguson's Falls, departed this life on Friday, April 29th, at the age of ninety-one years. He was born in Tampo, Ireland, and came to this country about fifty years ago, settling on Wolfe Island. About twelve years ago he came to live with his son Michael at Ferguson's Falls. Funeral was May 1st, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ferguson's Falls.
